Let's Break Things Together

Hi! My name is John Liwag.

I'm writing this because I don't know how to design a homepage for myself that gives off the correct vibe. It's funny I'm supposed to be able to do this for a living but I can't even properly design for myself. Well, anyways—I want to be passionate and experienced, but not overly polished.

I care a lot, but I also can't really show that.

Thought of this in the shower the other day: I should just write all the things that I can do on my homepage with links of that work. And maybe we can start from there.

I can design a landing page for you, in lightning speeds. I can design/develop your e-commerce store and website. I can shoot BTS photo/video for your production. If I have the copy/images, I can lay out (design) your brand sponsorship deck. I can take your portrait for social media. I can shoot/edit your wedding video. I can edit your vlog. I can design your logo. I can design a custom Snapchat filter. I can design a tour flyer for web/print uses. I can run your social media with an editorial calendar. I can design Instagram icons for your IG story "highlights." I can design titles for your music video. I can design the cover art for your album/single. I can direct your music video. I can shoot photo/video at concerts & festivals. I can design your magazine. I can design your photo book. I can design your cookbook. I can fly a drone on your set. And I can make endless moodboards.

Some cool things that have happened (that have less to do with work and way more with serendipity): designed a billboard on Sunset Blvd., acted in a music video that played on MTV, BET & has 250+ million views on YouTube, and designed the cover art for a 7-times platinum single.

The way I work best is with speed instead of perfection. I like to perfect things at the very end to make sure all the spacing is polished but when it comes to ideation, settling on the first thing is my strong suit.
